What is the difference between attorney authentication and notary authentication?

Notary authentication involves certain specific requirements such as security paper and a white seal. In addition, the notary must indicate that the signature was affixed in his immediate physical presence. The lawyer's authentication only requires the signature of the lawyer and the indication of the bar association card number.
